Opening The Door.....To Manifestation!

"If you could see an aerial view of your life experiences as we do, you would see all of these wonderful things that you've been asking for, lined up right outside your door, and if you just open the door a little bit, they begin to flood in." -- Abraham

This is a powerful quote by Abraham, the non-physical Source Energy as expressed through Esther Hicks.

The image alone of everything that you have wanted, asked for, visualized, but has yet to manifest in your physical world, just sitting right outside your door is a very powerful, and exciting image.

The obvious "next question" is: "How do I open the door?" Well, let's try to answer that. I say try because that's really all I can do - try. I'm no expert in the Law of Attraction and don't pretend to be. I'm just a student of it, continually learning. I've been exposed to LOA teachings for more than 20 years now and have recently begun studying the Abraham Hicks material. Is it working for me? Sometimes....sometimes not. Knowing what to do and doing are unfortunately two very different things. It's like they say: "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach."

So, the question is, "How do I open the door?" --

According to Abraham, you begin to open the the door when you are in "vibrational alignment" with what you desire. When the vibration you are in is a match to the vibration of whatever it is you want to manifest.
The next obvious question: "How do we create that match?" "How do we get into that vibrational alignment?"

From all the sources I've read or studied, this is the most difficult step in the manifesting process. Basically, we have to feel the feelings we would feel if we already had what it is we want.
You've probably heard the statement, "Act as if you already had it." - THAT is the key! Pretty simple....but not easy!
Close your eyes and imagine, in as much detail as possible, how you would feel if what you wanted already existed in your life. You might experience a sense of:
happiness joy exhilaration satisfaction relief
Really experience these feelings. This is how you need to feel to be in vibrational aligment.
We need to experience the relief and joy that our desired outcome would bring us, even before we have it in our physical world.
We have to LET GO of wanting it, and experience the joy of having it.
We need to be happy NOW! Any thoughts of you not having it (why don't I have it?....when will it get here?....how am I going to get it?....etc.) will only push it away and further close the door.

In Bob Proctor's first book Born Rich, which I first read in 1984, he devoted a whole chapter to this step. The chapter was entitled "Let Go and Let God" and he explained that this was probably the most important chapter in the whole book. He said if you could grasp this concept, you'll be well on your way to mastering the Law of Attraction.
The idea is to "let go" of wanting it, and "let God" take over, let the Universe do it's thing.
Abraham calls it "the Art of Allowing". "Allow" the Universe (Source Energy) to bring it to you.

So, be happy about getting it, know that it's coming, and then forget about it. (Or in my best New York Italian accent: fughedaboudit.....hmm, I'm getting an idea about a new blog post).

Anyway, that in a very small nutshell is how I see the Law of Attraction. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Now go and open that door!

C'mon Starbucks.....Already?

I walked into my local Starbucks this morning, like every other morning, and it hit me like walking into a brick wall. Suddenly I'm in the middle of a Christmas wonderland!
I mean it is only November 13th. They had completely "decked their halls"......and tables, counters, everything! There was even holiday music playing.
Is it me, or does this stuff seem to happen earlier and earlier every year?
Come on, can you not wait until at least December?
Here in Canada, we've already had our Thanksgiving, but in the States, it's not even Thanksgiving yet!
I love Christmas, really; but when it starts too early, by the time Christmas is here, we've become numb to it if not completely sick of it.
I say don't rush it. I realize it's a business thing - they get to sell more products. It's always about money, isn't it?
Anyway, that's my little rant for today. Does anyone else feel the way I do?

Do You Have A Plan?

Do you have a plan to achieve your dreams?
You know that car you'd really love to have one day? Or your dream house that you keep visualizing? Do you know how you're going to get them?

Okay, don't get me wrong. I'm a firm believer in the Law of Attraction and visualization techniques. And I know you're not supposed to ask "HOW?" The Universe will work out the how. I get all that, I really do, BUT (you knew there was a "but" coming) - let me put it this way:
What is it that you are going to do differently in your life in order to produce a different RESULT in your life?

I think you'll agree that your dream home/car/relationship...whatever - is, in fact, a "different result" right? It's got to be different or you wouldn't want it. That's what we all want - different stuff. We don't want the same stuff. The "same" is what we're trying to escape from.

Now, the problem is, in order to attract different results in our lives, we need to do different things. We cannot expect to get new results by still doing the same things in our lives. That's the definition of INSANITY - doing the same things but expecting different results. It just ain't gonna happen.

So, I have to ask again. What is it that you are going to do differently in your life in order to produce a different RESULT in your life?

I realized (probably a little too late in life, but - better late than never, I always say. Actually I never say that, but it sounded good) - anyway - I realized that to get my dream house and luxury cars and......just a better quality of life, I wasn't going to be able to do it with my current job.
My current job (and my wife's) were getting us the lifestyle we currently had and to even think that these same jobs would produce different results was, well ludicrous!
That's when I started looking for alternative ways to supplement my income. I didn't want to put all my hopes in the lottery. I know that sounds ridiculous, but that's what some people do! Some people believe that a lottery is the ONLY way they will get rich, because they don't believe they can do it themselves - when in fact, nothing could be further from the truth.

Now I don't want to get into all the opportunities I tried. The point I want to make is this: You need to explore other avenues. Something new. Have you ever noticed that all the really big things in your life came with a little discomfort. How about the house you bought, or your first car, or any car for that matter. There was probably some sort of sacrifice made. Maybe you had to save up some money, which wasn't easy. How about your first girlfriend or boyfriend? It required you to step out of your comfort zone, right? Whenever we acquire something worthwhile in our lives, it usually involved some level of discomfort.

So, you're going to have to step out of your comfort zone in order to do new things, in order to bring new results in your life. It's that simple. It's simple, but not EASY! If it was easy, everybody would be living the life of their dreams.

So if you don't have a plan, at least try to figure out what it is you can do differently that will bring you the lifestyle of your dreams.
